This is beautiful. I just adore the entire plot of this--it very much feels like it could be an episode, with the moments of levity ("you're Ticket and Conductor!") mixed in with moments of heart-breaking ("dragons don't have friends"). Wagon as an enabler of terrible ideas (as well as the better cliches) works out far too well.

For some reason I am also incredibly fond of the ending. There's something sweet about Akira switching to Zaram specifically so that he can put out a fire and save them--using the Shadow form he hates to protect his friends, from a danger that's very different from the dangers they usually face.

I loved it! I'm afraid I can't leave such an eloquent review as estelraca did but all the same, I loved it and the script format worked really well. THE DRAGON WAS THE BEST THING EVER I am so glad Akira got to appear in this and that Kagura refused to settle for any less than saving all her friends, because she really does love them all. She does.
