I do not have words for have much this made me squee. This was just absolutely wonderful, start to finish. Your characterization for the crew is brilliant. Your description of life in space aboard the Galleon, and the crew's attempts to recreate Christmas as much as they can for Gai, is just amazing. (The discussion of Gai's adjustment to the new day cycle and the new calendar and how he tries but can't quite keep track of Earth's at the same time is so well done--it's something I wish was discussed more in canons with space travel.)
And then the mistletoe. Oh, the mistletoe! I love your descriptions of how different each kiss is to all the others. And Marvelous. It was such a Marvelous move. I may have made happy squeaky noises out loud when I got to that part.
